Top 5 Skincare Products & The Importance of Collagen

Today I will be talking about my top 5 skincare products, I use these products regularly/daily as recommended and find that out of all my ventures through skincare these are my favourite.

Forza Hair, Skin & Nails with collagen:

I have been taking these capsules everyday for the past two months and have noted the difference in all aspects (Skin, hair and nails) already! My hair appears soft and healthy and the pigmentation on my skin fades a lot quicker than before.

Zinc - Forza contains zinc which maintains your hair skin and nails, zinc can be lost over time and is very important to get back especially for beauty reasons.

Copper - This is what helps maintain your hair and skin pigmentation!

Forza also contains Vitamin C and E which are antioxidants.

But the real reason why I chose this specific product as apposed to other is because it contains HYDROLYZED COLLAGEN.

Hydrolyzed protein maintains your skin, bones, tendons, cartilage etc. And is high in essential amino acids!
Although it does all of these amazing things I’ll focus on the skin aspect: When we were all babies we had a high amount of collagen in our bodies which is why we had plump skin (we all know the saying as smooth as a babies bottom) - this as we get older unfortunately depletes and our skin starts sagging and developing wrinkles. Which is why I believe it is important to maintain the production of collagen in your body. Hydrolyzed collagen is known to be more effective as well as natural.

It has so many benefits! Please read here

The Body Shop Drops of Light:

I have been using the Drops of Light ranges Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel for some time now and it is my absolute favourite - it is a subtle way of exfoliating the skin, it is not as harsh!
When purchasing I thought it would be used just like a peel off mask but that is not how it is used at all - it is a gel to peel formula, you squirt a few pumps of the gel onto your finger tips and massage it into your skin, this gel like substance then turns into clumps and in this process gets rid of dead skin cells and impurities. The claim is that it “peels off impurities and dead skin cells to unveil healthy looking bright skin.” - I can not help but agree!

I have also been using their Pure Translucency Essence Lotion. The reason why I had ventured into this range is because it promises to leave you with bright skin which I once again can’t help but to agree! I use about two drops over cleansed skin and always feel difference!

African Extracts Rooibos Dual-Action Moisturiser:

Wow I have been using this moisturizer for as long as I can remember, yes I may have ventured into other moisturizers especially the Woolworths brand but I always return to my trusty  African Extracts Dual Action Moisturizer from their Purifying range!

The reason being is that it promises two things: anti-shine and helps prevent blemishes - all of which I can definitely vouch for, the way that this moisturiser sinks into my skin without leaving any residue yet still leaving my skin soft and hydrated is why I love this product so much - it contains Bio-Active Rooibos and baobab, vitamin C and the famous salicylic acid.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil:

This is a product I guarantee you have heard of many times as it is so popular and rightfully so!
Simply dispense a tiny amount on your blemish and by the next morning it is gone!

The Body shop Tea Tree range promises to eradicate blemishes, blackheads and oily skin which is why I chose the Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution to do just that!

  2. I have not yet tried anything from the Body Shop and Drops of light sounds cool. There are so many things in my wish list from Body shop. The Forza capsules also sound good but I have never tried these kind of beauty vitamins yet. Thanks for sharing. :-)
